Product refund policy

Should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund a product with a receipt, it is up to the customer to ask for a receipt if paying by cash, card receipts are automatically given unless using contactless payment, provided (in the case of any non-defective products) it has not been unnecessarily handled, i.e beyond the handling that you would do in a shop to decide whether to purchase the product. Returns should be made within 28 days of purchase and in original, undamaged packaging.* Please see below for exceptions to this policy.

If the product returned has been unnecessarily handled, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount. This does not affect your statutory rights.

*Products we are unable to refund.

We are unable to offer a refund on personalised goods (such as pet id tags) unless they are faulty.

Items what are faulty after the returns window has expired may need to be sent back to the manufacturer as per your guarantee.


Live stock policy

When purchasing a pet you are required to give them the best care and the 5 animal needs which are,

need for a suitable environment.

need for a suitable diet.

need to be able to exhibit normal behaviour patterns.

need to be housed with, or apart, from other animals.

need to be protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease.

Sexing of animals

Certain animals do not exhibit any visual differences between males and females, while others only exhibit subtle differences, we cannot therefore guarantee the sex of these animals without a DNA certificate. Animals that are listed for sale as male or female are listed as sexed by our years of experience working with animals and our breeder’s excellent knowledge, due to human error this can sometimes be wrong but this is extremely rare.

Deposits paid at PAWS are for a standard period of seven days (including weekends) we may consider an extension at our own discretion, The deposit, whatever it’s value will have a date of expiration, once this date has come all deposits will be retained and our animal put back up for sale.

All deposits taken are non refundable once the animal has been taken off sale.

It is exceedingly difficult to guarantee a reptile for any great length of time. Due to species specific requirements of each animal some can be guaranteed longer than others whilst a few at non guarantee-able. all our animals are from the best UK breeders and dealers. All livestock sold is feeding, drinking, and as far as we can determine in good health so standard guarantee provided by PAWS is for a period of 48 hours after purchase, unfortunately we cannot guarantee fish due to difference in water quality and transport once they have left the premises.

Refunds will only be given on goods proven to be faulty upon production of a receipt. It is the persons responsibility to request a receipt at the point of purchase.

Refunds cannot be given because a customer has changed their mind about an animal or if their financial circumstances have changed, a pet is a life long commitment so please bare this in mind before purchasing.

Refunds will be given on animals which have died within seven days (inc weekends) after purchase upon production of a full specialist veterinary report where PAWS are solely implicated on paper.

Refunds will automatically be payable if the animal has deceased within 48 hours after purchase as long as the claim is not deemed invalid due to apparent negligence on the part of the new owner.
